The service

ModifyX provides free browser-based tools for working with images, PDFs, audio and video. No account is required and there is no charge.

Your files stay yours

We claim no rights over anything you process here. Because files never reach our servers, we could not use, store or share them even if we wanted to.

Your responsibilities

You agree that you will not use these tools to:

• Infringe copyright or other rights — including removing watermarks, credits or ownership marks from work that is not yours to alter.
• Create forged or misleading documents, identification, or records.
• Break any law that applies to you.

You are responsible for the files you process and for having the right to process them.

No warranty

The tools are provided as they are, without guarantees. Processing is lossy in places and clearly labelled where that is the case — PDF compression flattens text to images, for example. Results can vary with your browser, device and the file itself.

Keep your originals. Do not use this site as your only copy of anything you care about.

Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site, including lost files, lost time or a result that did not meet your expectations. Because there is no fee and no account, there is no service level to fall back on.

This is particularly worth understanding for encryption: if you password protect a PDF and forget the password, the file cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.

Advertising

The site is funded by advertising. Ads are supplied by a third-party network and we do not control their individual contents. Clicking an ad takes you to a site governed by its own terms.

Availability and changes

Tools may change, move or be withdrawn without notice. These terms may be updated, with the date at the top reflecting the last change.
